2024 Women's Duathlon

and the Karawhiua Run/Walk

Duathlon cost is $40 per participant or $80 per team

Run/Walk is $40 per participant

$5 Late Fee will apply for registrations on the day.​​​​​​​

There are goodie bags for those that have pre entered and there may be limited ones on the day. All partipants will receive a finishers medal, morning tea and will be in the draw to receive some fabulous spot prizes. 

Event

The 2024 Murihiku Women's Duathlon is an entry level event that can be entered as an individual or in a team of 2. Please note, it is more suitable for MTBs rather than a road bike.

Open to women aged 10 years and above.

Short Course Duathlon: 500m run, 8.5 km MTB, 2.4 km run

Long Course Duathlon: 500m run, 17 km MTB, 3.4 km run

Short Course Run/Walk: 3.4 km

Long Course Run/Walk: 8 km

Location

Start and finish at the Cabbage Tree. Participants run & bike their way around Sandy Point. The Duathlon is followed by nibbles and spot prizes.

9.40am Warm up

9.50am Briefing for all

10.00am Long distance Duathlon start

10.05am Short distance Duathlon start

10.10am Long distance Run/Walk start

10.15am Short Distance Run/Walk start

11.40ish (or whenever last person arrives in) Food/snacks provided

Course

Duathlon Cycle - Goes from the Cabbage Tree, down Pit Road following the track to come out at the entrance to the Mountain Bike Tracks, across the road, following the track back to Dunns Road, and back to the Cabbage Tree.

Duathlon Run - Will be along Dunns Road - out and back. 

Run/Walk - along Dunns Road - out and back.
